The design of MM03, a single-family residence in Milano Marittima, originates from a strategic analysis of how the new structure integrates within its lot. The primary goal was to open views toward the neighboring pine forest and the road to the west, while also addressing the client’s request for privacy on the ground floor and expansive views from the elevated second floor.
The design of MM03, a single-family residence in Milano Marittima, originates from a strategic analysis of how the new structure integrates within its lot. The primary goal was to open views toward the neighboring pine forest and the road to the west, while also addressing the client’s request for privacy on the ground floor and expansive views from the elevated second floor.
The result is a “telescope” building aligned with the west axis, where the outdoor space, including a swimming pool and jacuzzi, is thoughtfully positioned. The ground floor features a large glazed façade on its short side, providing access to the BBQ and pool area, while the long sides remain semi-glazed to admit light while shielding the interior from neighboring views.
