“We imagined a green mountain and a summer bright afternoon in the lower Alps, overlooking the rows of the wine yards sliding down gently towards the Lac Lemans shore. We remebered the summer swims at the floating platforms at the Frauenbad Stadhousquai in Zurich, the wooden Rivas sailing across the Luzern Lake from shore to shore.”

We rescued from our swiss summer memories and we designed a residential complex, as if it was a built mountain that looks out into the horizon. Situated in a priviledge position the 126 beachfront villas are conceived as residential private shelters with open facades towards the skyline of the city and the sea.
Each villa is developed on 2 floors; the interplay of volumes and heights shape the residential spaces and create gardens and terraces overlooking the sea, in complete respect of privacy and providing the highest levels of comfort. Curtain walls mirror the sea to the inside of the houses, creating a constant dialogue with nature, light and wind.

The ground floor of each villa is dedicated to relax and wellness, equipped with a Spa-hammam, a gym and a private suite with a terrace overlooking the beach. The second floor is where the bedrooms, the main living room and the private infinity pool are placed. The third floor hosts more bedrooms and a large common space. The architecture is generated by a declination of solids and voids which continuosly shape the courtyard gardens and the terraces in a beautiful dialogue between natural and artificial.

In the interior spaces, materials such as stone and marble blend together creating unique luxury scenarios, with a contemporary vision on a flexible way of living.
The project provides the Dubai World Island with a new conception of residential space, a shelter of privacy within the comfort of a whole community, that restore to the residents the atmospheres of living in a mountain.
